Dr.  Mahfoudha Mubarak Al-Shezawi    -  Physiotherapy Programs

The Oman College of Health Sciences (OCHS) proudly holds the distinction of being the first institution to graduate physiotherapy degree holders in Oman. The development of physiotherapy education in the country highlights the growing recognition of the profession’s essential role in the healthcare system.

Initially introduced in the late 1980s as part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to strengthen rehabilitation services, physiotherapy education began with diploma-level qualifications. Over time, the program evolved into bachelor’s degrees, representing a significant milestone in the field. This progression ensured that graduates were not only aligned with international standards but also equipped to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care in line with global best practices.

Our program is dedicated to developing reflective, skilled, and innovative physiotherapists equipped to meet current and future healthcare needs.
